γνῶθι σεαυτόν (gnōthi seauton): Know thyself.

Daily life demands that we interact from our small selves with jobs, phone numbers, kids, car problems. But there's so much more to each of us. The deeper layers of our being are already wise and loving; the courses on this site exist as tools to (re)discover our depths and live from them more each year.

One of the enduring gifts of Claire’s course was the sense of renewed hope, and self-compassion: giving myself permission not to be in full-velocity/full-productivity mode during this time [of transition]. ... I am moving forward again, refreshed, energized and encouraged – and also trying to listen for the subtle new melodies calling me forward.

Hi, I’m Claire, and meditation has changed my life. Now I want to share it with you.

Since I started meditating as a Buddhist in 1997, I've been amazed countless times at the new vistas within myself that I never would have seen without some contemplative practice. That motivated me to start teaching meditation in 2004, and in 2015 I finished a PhD in Religious Studies at Rice University.

In other words, I've poured my time, energy, and money into the spiritual and intellectual journey. I want to bring the best of what I've learned into these courses so that you can see for yourself what wonders you contain.
